The Story Behind the Painting
Routine Life was one of the first paintings I created after moving to Dubai. During those early days, I spent much of my time at home, adjusting to a new environment and experiencing a deep sense of solitude.
As the days began to resemble one another, ordinary moments took on a different emotional weight. Painting became a way to express feelings that were difficult to put into words.
The seated figure, surrounded by fragmented forms, layered brushstrokes, and shifting colors, reflects the stillness of daily life alongside the emotional movement beneath its surface. A second figure appears in the background, present yet distant, suggesting the quiet separation between people and their inner worlds.
For me, this painting is not simply about repetition or loneliness. It captures a period of transition, when familiar routines disappeared and a new life was slowly taking shape.
